Jamie Schumacher is the founder and President of JMS Public Relations and SSP Blue’s exclusive partner. Since launching her boutique PR firm, JMS Public Relations, Jamie has been directing the efforts of multinational corporations by building their CSR stories, developing NGO partnership strategies, handling proactive and reactive press initiatives and implementing a safety, security, and privacy PR leadership strategy with the goal of positioning companies as leaders in these areas. Jamie has trained executives on crisis PR at the C-level down to the director level. She also interfaces with government entities and has numerous success stories with clients who have turned a true crisis into a significant win with regards to their consumer and business reputation.
Prior to founding JMS PR, Jamie served as the Director of Public Affairs for News Corporation’s online properties, including MySpace, AmericanIdol.com, Photobucket, Rotten Tomatoes and AskMen, where she assisted some of the most accomplished entertainment and media corporations in strategy development, reputation management and product delivery. Jamie also held senior positions with several leading firms in the international public relations and professional services sector, including Fleishman-Hillard and Weber Shandwick Worldwide. Jamie currently manages a leading team of public relations support professionals at JMS PR with combined competencies in written communications, public relations strategy, media development, website content development, psychology and journalism.
As President and Founder of JMS Public Relations, Jamie Schumacher leads an organization focused on responding to online safety, security and privacy events in times of crisis, as well as during times of growth. Jamie has more than ten years of crisis management experience, working with top-tier public relations firms and digital platforms to ensure consumer safety and establish ethical business practices related to the security and privacy of personal data. Jamie also oversees public affairs and public relations efforts for SSP Blue, aligning with CEO Hemanshu (Hemu) Nigam.
